Kids Safety Bands Review and Giveaway

About Kid Safety Band from their website:
"A couple of years ago, I was in the park with my two sons. It was a beautiful day and I was pushing my younger son Conor on the swing. Conor’s shoe fell off and I stopped to help him. While my back was turned, my older son Aidan wandered off. As parents, we all know the fear and anxiety that comes with the thought of your child being lost – screaming out their name but never hearing the familiar “over here Dad”. I ran all over the park but still no Aidan. I was just about to call the police when someone, seeing me in panic mode, ran up to tell me he had spotted a young boy over at the other end of the park. I raced over and there, hiding in the bushes, was my son. Words cannot express how relieved I was to find him safe.
This incident made me think, and got the creative juices flowing. After some research, the Kid Safety Band was born. The concept of printed silicone wristbands was already an established and popular one. Almost everyone nowadays, including children, wears one proclaiming support for a favorite cause or charity. Kids love them, and I thought it would be a great idea to use them for identification purposes. I chose the color orange as it is synonymous with safety.
My goal now is brand awareness. I have been busy getting the word out to various law enforcement agencies around the country. I have also distributed fliers, advertised online, and most recently participated as a resource at childrens’ fairs. I will continue to try to pursue brand awareness at every opportunity and make the Kid Safety Band a household name. My sons both wear their Kid Safety Band whenever we attend large functions. I hope that I never again have to experience the frantic search for a lost child. Having the Kid Safety Band gives me peace of mind and knowledge that, if my child is ever lost, I am just a phone call away."
Our Opinion: We were sent 3 Kid Safety Bands in orange for review. My son is in kindergarten this year and is working on memorizing his phone number. His initials are on the bracelets along with our phone number. Not only does it make me feel safe when we are out shopping or eating but even at school. I have explained to him that if he ever gets lost and can not find us to find a cashier, police officer, elderly couple and to show them his bracelet and tell them that this is his phone number. To us not only is it for safety but a great tool for teaching him his phone number.

Thanks to Kid Safety Band (1) of my lucky readers will receive 3 bracelets one each in size x-small, small and adult size. Please leave a separate comment for each entry. Leave an email address or make sure it is visible in your profile.

  1. To tell you the truth having an unpredictable X-husband, there's nothing I really learned new that I didn't already know. Keeping my children safe & under my roof was my main concern.

  25. Tip for keeping children safe. When my children were little they had this program down at the police station where they took their finger prints, and you put a picture on on it, and little things about them like scars, etc. and kept it just in case. Also, making sure they're escorted to and from school reporting any strange vehicles or acting strange to the police.

  42. I like that you can personalize the bracelet in any way you feel necessary. I'd rather not advertise my daughter's name or initials on a bracelet, so this is perfect!

  56. I've always encouraged my daughter to keep her personal boundaries. Even at only 2, she is spatially aware of strangers and raises a fuss any time someone gets too close or talks to her. Unless mom or dad says a person is "okay", she reacts. Not foolproof, but encouraging.
