SMARCKS Smart Blocks Review and Giveaway

"The inventor and CEO of Smart Blocks Inc. is a mechanical engineer that comes from a family of educators with three masters degrees and a phd in education and 50 years of experience in the field of education and child development. An engineer, a school district superintendent, a teacher, and a school counselor were the core design and development team members for the Smarcks.

The concept of talking building blocks toys originated a few years ago when the inventor was sitting in his family room watching his children play (1, 2, and 5 years old at the time). Like most homes the family room was surrounded by talking educational toys; however, his children typically chose instead to play with their building blocks. All this money on electronic toys and they end up playing with blocks - that is when it all began ...

“What if you could combine the educational aspects of all these electronic toys with the creative benefits of building blocks that capture a child’s attention for hours on end?”
That was the beginning of the Smarcks and 19 different Smart Blocks which can add, subtract, count, spell, identify colors and shapes, sing the ABCs, recite nursery rhymes, challenge you to solve puzzles, and play music with dancing lights.
During the development of these building blocks toys the two youngest children started learning colors by sitting on their father’s lap and identifying the different colored Smart Blocks on the computer screen. Just a picture of these colorful blocks with their happy faces was enough to capture the children’s attention. He tested the different phrases on them to see what they liked and then finally gave them prototypes to see what would happen. They loved the Smarcks so much they fought over them! It was definitely time to make more than just two talking blocks. Next came the development of the song. Like the blocks, the ultimate test was with the three children; they would sing along and dance to the song, but the defining moment was when ...

... the 3 year old turned to his father and said, “Daddy, you have to take your turn” (after hearing this in the chorus). The student became the teacher!
There is now a fourth child in the family. Even though his baby girl cannot yet play with a Smarck she is already listening, smiling, and being entertained by them as she watches her brothers and sisters build, play, and learn. She will be one of the first of the Smarcks' generation. A generation of children that learn younger and faster and, most importantly, grow up knowing that "Math is Fun!"

Accelerated learning, however, is not only what the Smarcks are about; good manners and doing the right thing is just as important. Honesty, being nice, sharing, saying thank you and please - all leading to respecting your parents and growing up to be a good person. Smart Blocks Inc. has to also follow these same moral standards. Smarcks are produced with the best materials and to the highest quality standards. We believe Smarcks are one of the best educational toys for young children and have not yet met a child or parent that does not absolutely love these building blocks toys. Our 90 Day Money Back Guarantee gives you a no risk opportunity to find this out for yourself. This is an unprecedented offer in the toy industry to match an extraordinary educational toy."

Our Opinion: Needless to say we are all very impressed with the SMARCKS Smart Blocks! I honestly thought that I would just give Little T the blocks because he is 4 and I didn't think the others would like them. Wow was I wrong. My nephew was also over the day that we received the package and all 4 of them set down and played and played. M was the most observant and each time she would connect an block and it would talk she would do it over and over again to show the other kids.

Little T has figured out how to make the music and that is what he is constantly doing. He only goes a half of day of school and each day the first thing he comes in to do is play with his blocks. He also had to call and tell his grandma about his new blocks and he just rambled on and on about them. I love the fact that they are playing and learning at the same time.

  1. I learned that the main goal of Smarks is not to teach your kid his/her ABC's, etc, that's secondary. These blocks were developed to help kids learn to share, be honest, be nice to one another, say "please" and "thank you" and other valuable lessons.
