DuneCraft Outer Space Adventure

This summer the kids and I have been trying to find projects to keep them busy. We have painted rocks, made picture framed, painted small carry bags and much more. We spend many hours outside swimming, playing games, jumping but you may ask what about the rainy days? We finally for the first time this summer got to find out what we would do on a rainy day. We discovered products from DuneCraft.

Day 1 rainy day we discovered the Outer Space Adventure Grow Your Own Galactic Galaxy. K was over excited about this and he literally could not hold still while putting it all together.

This kit contains Sprouting and Growing Dome, Glow in the Dark Asteroid Chips, Alien, Color Stakes, Color Decals, 2oz. Red Mars Sand, Four Seed Packs: Sensitive Plant, Spaceship Plant, Antenna Plant and Odds Pods, Germination Mixture and Complete Instructions.

We started off by filling the container with water and putting in the germination mixture. They come in round cubes so you put them in room temperature water and watch. My kids aren't very good at watching it so they wanted to crumble it up. I thought this would be a great way for the to really get involved and it was. They crumbled until their were no chunks and it was just mud.

We then opened up our seeds. We pushed them into the soil about 1/4 an inch. Little T loved this part he made sure that each was pushed in just perfect and then covered them back up. We then put our stakes in, so that we know which is which.

Our next move was putting in the Red Mars Sand and the rocks. K wanted this job all to himself. He positioned the rock right where he wanted it and then added the Red Mars Sand. He chose to put the red sand all over because he said it made it look pretty. This was probably all of their favorite parts. We saved a little sand with and played. They love that the sand "Cannot Get Wet." They thought it was the coolest thing ever.

In the picture above you can see K holding the finished project. They were all very proud, and watch it everyday to see if their is any difference. Not only did we all work together on this but it is fun to watch how involved the kids really are. They made this and now they want to watch it grow into an Alien's World. My favorite thing about DuneCraft products are they are Made in the USA!

Stay tuned one lucky reader will have the opportunity to win this Outer Space Adventure in the For The Luck of Liberty event.
